WFMW - Fresh Fruit Salad

So easy a child could do it...oh wait...that's right...my children did do it. Make a fruit salad, that is. When it's warm it's really hard to get motivated to crank up the heat. You know, to actually turn on the oven and cook. That's where salads come in handy. And a really good salad is a fresh fruit salad. There's really not much of a recipe to it. Just what ever fruits you like and some Cool Whip. That's pretty much it. But to help you out I'll list the fruits we use.

Apples, mixed yellow and red for variety, sometimes green.
Bananas
Pineapple, fresh if we can get it
Grapes, again mixed colors for variety; red and green
Strawberries
Blueberries
Sometimes we also put in some mandarin oranges from the can. Not fresh, I know, but they're great tasting.

Just chop up the fruit (the edible parts anyway) mix together with a tub of Cool Whip and it's ready to eat. Oh, yeah and sometimes we add in marshmallows. Just as a little treat.

There you have it - a great, cool, summery treat.

And for more summer recipes go over to We Are THAT Family for this special edition of Works-For-Me Wednesday.

Until next time...

Thanks for coming over and visiting my blog. That was my first trip to TN! The parts that I saw were just beautiful! Wow... you have 9 children. That is amazing! I saw their pictures in a previous post! They are just precious!

We LOVE fruit and often make breakfast or lunch of it. My girl friend makes a recipe with a jar of marshmallow fluff, a container of cool whip and the juice from marishino (think I spelled that wrong) and then mixes it with fruit. Super yummy!
