Dessert Friday and Chocolate Friday are hosted by Lisa at Stop and Smell the Chocolates. And today she is having a great giveaway for Father's Day! See's Candies. Yum. So go see her and get in on the giveaway, PLUS get more recipes. And link up one of yours. This Friday is for any dessert, not just chocolate. So find a non-chocolate dessert (if that's possible - just kidding!) and link up at her site.
And here's my non-chocolate dessert recipe for this Friday.
Easy Apple Dumplings
2 cans crescent dinner rolls
2 Granny Smith or tart apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks butter
1 can Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Peel and cut apples into 1/8ths.
Open and separate crescent rolls.
Wrap each 1/8th apple slice with a crescent roll - put the apple at the large end of the roll and roll up.
Place in glass 9x13 glass pan.
Melt butter and mix with sugar and cinnamon, pour over the dumplings.
Pour whole can of Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Most of the juice should be gone. Don't use a metal pan if possible.
