of sandals and girls

(No way could I wear these. Just thought I'd share).

It's that time of year again.

Time to shop for girls' shoes. Sandals to be exact.

(These I could probably handle).

I have a dilemma. Where do I get shoes this year?

We're pretty cheap sometimes when it comes to the children's shoes. I mean by next year, they've outgrown them. Why spend tons of money on something that they wear for a few months at the most? And forget about passing them down through more than two siblings. By the time my third son gets a pair of shoes there's hardly any wear left in them at all. So we end up buying some new ones anyway.

Now most of the time for us new means Goodwill or yard sales. I've found practically brand new shoes for a fraction of the price.

But sometimes, it's just not happening. No matter how many Goodwills or yard sales I frequent, I just can't seem to find that elusive pair of shoes that someone needs.

And right now, my girls need sandals for the summer.

(I love this color).

So tell me...where do you get your sandals?

Wal-Mart? Hmm...we've done that and they fall apart too quickly.

Target? I usually don't shop there. Do they have good quality shoes?

JC Penney? Sears? I avoid the mall as much as possible. But for good sandals I could possibly brave it. (Especially if I can stop for a Cinnabon afterward).

Payless? I've bought shoes there before, but they seem to be the same quality as Wal-Mart.

Any other ideas?

Until next time...

I do Old Navy flip flops...my kids love them and they are 2 for $5. Great deal.
I also buy their shoes from Children's place. I always have coupons and you can also buy them online. You can get free shipping codes and 15% off coupons too.
I shop goodwill and resale shops.
I hope you find them.
Payless is doing BOGO right now.

I typically get Annah's shoes at Target because they have such a large selection and I can get a pair of flip flops for 2.50 or a pair of bling bling girly sandals for 9.99- 14.99 ... for her size and age, it seems Goodwill or thrift store shoes are really worn out used but I always still look and I have found some wonderful favorite shoes there but rarely... same with second hand shops... nicer quality but still to used for a second or maybe even third go around.

Good luck!

Hi We have bought some at Walmart but I find it pays to buy middle of the road if I go for the cheapest they don't last. Beautiful blog it is my first time here and I think it is lovely.

Funny that you've had that experience with Walmart sandals. I get my sturdiest pair every year at Wally World, :). I like the Earth Spirit (I think that's the name) brand, they are comfy and cute and stay on your feet...I've never had them fall apart, but I'm not a kid either, LOL>

Honestly we just stick to WM, Target or Payless. Old Navy has some cute shoes if you snag them on a sale. Ross? TJ Maxx?
