Mary Connealy book giveaway!

Nosy in Nebraska
by Mary Connealy

I really, really like this book. I don't know what to say about it except that I was enthralled, entranced, and totally entertained. I love the characters, the story line, the outcome. It's a mystery, or actually a series of 3 mysteries, set in a small town in Nebraska. The town is full of eccentric, lovable people and a mascot. A dead mascot. A dead, field mouse mascot. Are you interested yet? How about a lady so terrified of mice she leaps into a handsome carpenter's arms. A librarian who is worried more about a long dead mouse than a recently dead man. And an anthropologist who can trip on her pants' leg while simply turning around. Then there's the lady who sells inedible pies, the one who informs everyone of their personal hygiene errors, and the one who has appointed herself bodyguard to the mouse mascot. Like I said, eccentric. I'd love to move to this town. If it were real. Which it's not. But I digress.

I could go on and on, but I've got a better idea.

One of you, my readers, will have the chance to know exactly what I'm talking about. That's right. I'm going to give away a copy of Mary's book. BTW, I won a copy from her website, and I am absolutely not going to give away that copy. Hey - she signed it for me, ok? Seriously, I will personally buy you your very own copy and send it to you. To know more about this book and its author go to her site here.

Here's how to get entries for the giveaway.

1 - leave a comment telling me your all time favorite mystery, or if you don't read mysteries, your favorite book

2 - leave a comment about books and/or reading in general

3 - leave a comment telling me if you follow my blog

So that's a total of 3 possible entries. Not very imaginative I know, but hey, I'm kind of new at this.

Now fire away with the comments and let's get this book on its way to a winner! The giveaway will be open until Wednesday noon Eastern Daylight Time.

Until next time...

Jen, thanks so much for the kind words about Nosy in Nebraska. I had a lot of fun seeing just how quirky I could make the characters.

And the challenge of having a stuffed mouse save the day each time...well, that kept me awake twisting scenarios around for a while.

I'll go post a link to your blog on my blog.
Thanks for having me on and doing the give-away

The book looks great! I can't wait to read it! As for mysteries, I really enjoyed the Rock Harbor series by Colleen Coble!

Oh Miss Jen T. You have me so intrigued! I LOVE to read and I LOVE to read wacky eccentric mystery novels most of all (Besides my Bible, of course). I love Joanne Fluke and Donna Andrews...they are just how you described this book. So, if you've not read them yet...go to the library because they are the BEST beach reading material...and no beach is needed. Even my hubby fell in love with these characters when we were on vacation a few years ago. Oh, and do let me know what you think after you give them a read. CP

I have not read many mystery books (yet), but when I was growing up I was a huge fan of Nancy Drew books. My mother bought me the entire set of 51 books. I wish I still had them all. By the way, I really like your blog. I just became a follower and I would love a chance to win the book. Thank you.

I want to win this book, I love Mary's books. :) As for mysteries, I love Dee Henderson, but she's probably considered more suspense. My all time Fav is To Kill A Mockingbird and I always thought of it as a mystery. Great blog, by the way.

My favorite book? Hmmm? That's tough. Right now, I'm reading SECRETS, by Christian author Kristin Heitzman and enjoying it. Also love anything Harlan Coben writes.

JEN!! What a great review and a great blog!! I absolutely LOVE anything Mary Connealy writes and would love to win this book, so toss my name in the hat.

And my favorite book? Well, it's not exactly a mystery, but it is my favorite -- Gone With the Wind. I'm big on romance, you see, which Mary does SO well, plus she makes me laugh more than any author out there.

Thanks for the contest!

This is a definite read for me! I would love to win it, but if I don't I will be headed to the store to grab a copy! I love books of all kinds including mysteries... especially light and cozy ones. I just finished Ginny Aiken's Deadly Decor series. I love the Smart Chick series by Mindy Starns Clark. I also just finished up her Million Dollar series which are a bit more serious than cozy... excellent books! Nosy sounds like a super summer time read! Barb C. ChristianHomes[at]gmail[dot]com
