Earlier this morning we were entertained by this sight.

A little closer...

A lot closer!

If you look close enough you can see the fire. They would ignite it every once in a while to stay aloft. It was a good homeschooling lesson on light traveling faster than sound. We would see the flash, about 5 seconds later here the "whooshing" sound. It would blaze for about 10 seconds. Then the flame would be extinguished, but we could still hear the sound for a few seconds. I can't imagine how loud it must have been up there.
Nice early morning sighting. :)
Until next time...

That would be a cool site.
We have the Good Year Blimp that flies over our house pretty often.
Very cool...
Something you don't see every day, that's for sure! LOL
Hugs.

Quite a few years ago there was a hot air balloon show here in town. It was so fascinating. so many unique ones, too. They were giving rides, but not me...scared to death of heights.
