Who needs toys?

Really, who needs kids toys? Haven't you noticed how with all the toys that kids have these days, they continually gravitate to the mundane, everyday things lying around the house? Example:

"Oooh, Mommy, I've got to have one of these! Please, please, please?"

It's the latest in toddler entertainment...empty jelly jar and a few forks. To make the noise, ya know. Yeah...why spend $$$ on fancy-shmancy, colorful, music-playing toys when all you need is an empty jar and a few forks! Go figure!

Exactly, or an old box...perfect to build their imaginations and hours of fun. My kids love them. To cute...she is adorable. Her eyes are gorgeous!

We call her our Precious Moments doll. She's daddy's baby. :)

Ooh, or measuring cups and spoons or the packaging for just about anything (today, Caleb was fascinated by the packaging from the set of curtains I recently bought, lol). We haven't actually bought him any toys at all in his 2 years of life (plenty of other people have given him toys, of course), but he's not missing out on anything!

What a sweetie! Our 14 month old grandson loves playing with things in my kitchen. One of our activities we do on his weekly visits is to unload and load the dishwasher. It takes way longer to get the job done this way, but like I said, it's an activity we do and enjoy together, while I'm holding him.

God Bless,
Sue
