Spring? Spring? What's that?

What is up with the weather? This excerpt from www.weather.com

South
The Southeast will feel and look more like January or February instead of April today, with unseasonably cold temperatures for most areas east of the Mississippi River and a chance of some snow showers in the Southern Appalachians.

Any accumulations should be limited to the higher elevations, with a flurry or light snow shower possible into cities like Knoxville, Chattanooga, and Asheville.

Any snow showers should be on the wane tonight and tomorrow, but cooler than average temperatures are expected to continue in the Southeast for one more day.

Yep, that's us. I woke up to snow on the ground. Snow!! In April!! What happened to spring for crying out loud?! It's been snow flurries all day and supposed to freeze tonight. Uh-uh. I want my warm weather back.

What's going to happen to my flowers? I'm sooo glad I didn't plant my rose bushes like I planned to this week. They are still safe and sound in their little pots in my sewing room.

My kids meanwhile are absolutely crazy. They like it! What is wrong with them?

Oh, well, at least it's just flurries and not a blizzard. Not that we get blizzards here anyway. But you know what I mean.

I now feel for all you northerners who are talking about snow when I'm out planting flowers. Now I feel your frustration. Especially since I've actually had a taste of spring.

Give it back, please, give it back!

Until next time...

I know what you're talking about -- we had some nasty weather this past weekend and some wet, heavy snow, too! Thankfully, it's all melted, and the temps reached mid-50s yesterday... I hope it's here to stay this time!

Today is sooo much better. I hope it stays this way. It's supposed to be in the 60s and 70s the rest of the week. Here's praying!
